Working Parents of Adolescents Empowerment

About the Working Parents of Adolescents Empowerment Program

The Working Parents of Adolescents Empowerment Program is designed to support parents, guardians and caregivers in navigating the unique challenges of raising adolescents while balancing the demands of work and family life.

The program equips parents, guardians and caregivers with practical, evidence-based tools to better understand adolescent development, strengthen communication and build healthier, more supportive relationships with adolescents aged 12–19 years. Through guided learning and reflection, parents, guardians and caregivers develop skills to respond to parenting challenges with greater patience, flexibility and confidence.

A key focus of the programme is developing psychological flexibility, the ability to remain present, manage difficult emotions and make parenting decisions that are guided by personal values rather than stress or immediate reactions. By encouraging mindful and values-based parenting, the program helps parents, guardians and caregivers create positive home environments that promote the emotional well-being and healthy development of adolescents.

Ultimately, the program aims to empower parents, guardians and caregivers with the knowledge, skills and ongoing support needed to strengthen families and positively influence the lives of adolescents.
